We want to wish you a

Blessed Christmas and a

Happy New Year!

This is our first yearly letter. We bought a printer just so that we could do this very thing. We know that EVERYBODY wants to know ALL the DETAILS of our newlywed LIVES…

Starting just before last Christmas Rodica and Eric began their friendship together…

The picture to the right is our first picture as special friends.

It was taken at Coronado in Shirley Cornell's condominium where we started our friendship. This picture brings us special memories.

Eric gave Rodica these nice flowers. That is why she is smiling J

After this… we were sad because Rodica started her FIRST job as an

Accountant

at

and we couldn't spend as much time together as we would have liked. So we decided to press the fast forward button…

and get married as quickly as possible!

In April, we got engaged to be married on June 15th in Romania.

As many of you probably already know, we got married on June 15th, in Reghin, Romania, where Rodica grew up, and her family still lives.

To the right are pictures that were taken in the back and in the front of Herghalia Health Center where we had our reception.

We had special program for our wedding. The Choir and an instrumental Quartet made the ceremony a corner of heaven.

Rodica's brother Nick was the main organizer of the Wedding, the Reception, the Honeymoon, and whatever else. Rodica's parents and her brother and sister Magdalena (who also helped in ALL the other receptions). Valerie who decorated

For our honeymoon, we spent a week in a place called Poina Brasov, which is near the area where Dracula's castle sits. Above is one picture that we took during our honeymoon.

The nature there was like being in the land of.

After we returned from Romania, Rodica quit her job and moved to San Diego where Eric lives. The first thing that we had to do was organize our home. We are still working on it (6 months later). J That is because we had 2 receptions following our wedding. The first one was on August 3rd in Loma Linda, and the second one was on August 31st in San Diego.

Sherry Kirk, Rodica's friend, opened her lovely home and welcomed our guests. Her friendliness and kindness made the reception in Loma Linda a pleasant event. She welcomed us with 3 beautiful big baskets of flower arrangements. Margaret Hemp showed her care and love for us with a nice speech that provided us with some good advice for our marriage.

The Clairemont Seventh-day Adventist Church in San Diego opened their friendly doors for our reception here. Pastor Ted Tessner had a very lively message. He made Eric kneel and ask Rodica to marry him because he neglected that point when he first asked. Jeanne Carter and Lynn Shima helped with organizing the food and the decorations. Their kindness and the church member's friendliness impressed Rodica and made her feel at home in her new church. Many of Eric's former co-workers from Palomar Products came to the reception. Most had been laid off because of project cancellations. One week after that Eric was laid off too J

Eric then had to look for a new job. Stellcom Technologies (his former contracting agency) didn't find him a job. Instead he was offered a job working for G2 Software Systems at NRaD (which is now called SPAWAR) and started working there on September 29th.

Since then, we have been very busy with Church activities. Rodica participated in the Student Campus Fellowship Choir program at Loma Linda in December. Music is a BIG part of Rodica's life. Eric couldn't participate because of a sore throat. After he started to feel better, Rodica made him sing in front of the Clairemont church (Eric hopes nobody notices that one). For some odd reason, Rodica thinks Eric has musical talent.

Eric does enjoy singing with Rodica when driving in the car or wherever.

Rodica enjoys studying the Bible with Eric or talking on spiritual topics.

In closing, We both wish and hope that our dear God may bless you and your home in the coming year.

With Much Love, Rodica and Eric.
