A Happy and Blessed New Year 2009!From Eric and Rodica

Hello Family And Friends,
Thank you for your cards and newsletters, we always enjoy getting and reading them.
We want to apologize (again) this year because we haven’t really had time to do a proper letter, and follow the custom of the world of sending them out before the end of a new year! Looking backwards, we see that we haven’t sent a letter since 2004, so Eric feels guilty. Eric, instead of reading the news and conspiracy theories each day, could have spent time writing a letter telling all the stuff we do during the year. Now he feels guiltyJ
In any case, we are both physically healthy; Eric still has his job of 11 years, for which we are thankful to God since we see that the economy is eliminating many jobs. Rodica keeps busy dealing with property-management and Eric food-and-clothing-and-picking-up-after-his-mess issues. J
Before the economy collapsed, and martial law was established (or wait, that’s not till our next letter), we went on our first cruise to the Caribbean to celebrate our 10th year anniversary (June ’07) as well as Rodica’s birthday (February ‘08). Since we went a week after the birthday, they never brought us a cake to our table on the ship… shame on them. Oh, and we had a few trips to Hawaii in the past few years for Eric’s work as well.
For our 11-year anniversary, Eric took Rodica to see the Grand Canyon, which she never saw before. She was impressed, and so was Eric, since anyway he couldn’t remember last time he went there with mom in 1980something.
We went to the Health Center in Romania in September, timing it so that we would be out of the country on September 30th, since that was alleged to be the date that the U.S. would go bankrupt (according to one of the conspiracy websites that Eric reads). Since that did not quite happen (almost only counts in horseshoes), we came back to our San Diego home in early October after all, and here we are. As a side note, Eric’s cholesterol was brought down from 200 to 148 during two of the weeks at the Health Center, where the normal strict vegan diet regimen was followed, and a busy exercise program.
Although we had a very busy year, we experienced God’s rich blessings and protection over the last year(s) for which we are very thankful.
We wish everyone happiness, less busy-ness and more of God’s blessings in the coming year! J
